Can I use Veena's MIDI in FL Studio, Ableton Live or Logic Pro?

Yes. Everything Veena writes is standard MIDI. Use Download MIDI file on any single clip, or open Export from the account menu in the sidebar and choose MIDI to get one .mid file holding every MIDI track. Drag it into FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reaper or any other DAW. There is no cap on exports and no watermark.

What kinds of MIDI can the AI generate?

Veena's CoProducer writes drum patterns, basslines including 808s, chord progressions, melodies, hooks, arpeggios and counter-lines, for a single part or a whole song. It also edits MIDI you already have: extend a loop, re-voice chords, humanize or quantize the timing, or rewrite only the bars you highlight. Every part lands on its own track, playing a real instrument.

Can I turn a hummed melody into MIDI?

Yes. Hum or sing into your microphone, or drop in a voice memo, and ask CoProducer to transcribe it. Veena detects the pitch right in your browser, places an editable MIDI part on a new track and mutes the original take. Then play those notes on any of Veena's 61 instrument presets, or on your own VST or AU instrument.

Will generated MIDI fit the parts I already have?

Yes. When one part has to agree with another, CoProducer writes them in order: a bassline that must lock to the kick waits for the drums and reads the notes actually placed on your timeline, not a description of them. Once your project has clips, Veena keeps your key unless you ask for a change, and every new part comes as three options.

Can I import my own MIDI files into Veena?

Yes. Drop a .mid or .midi file into Veena and every MIDI track or channel becomes its own clip and track, with General MIDI instruments mapped and channel 10 played on drums. Then ask CoProducer to build on it: a bassline under your chords, drums around your melody, or a full arrangement grown from your 8-bar idea.

Describe the part, "a 16-bar Reese bassline in F minor at 174 BPM", and CoProducer, your personal music producer, writes it as MIDI notes on a track, playing a real instrument, in time with your song. Edit any note, then export a .mid to any DAW.

Most MIDI generators hand you a file and wish you luck. Veena hands you the part in context: the bassline hears the kick it has to lock to, the melody hears the chords under it, and you audition it in the song before you decide to keep it.

It also edits MIDI you already have. Highlight bars 5 to 8 and ask for "a busier variation here", or ask it to "extend this 4-bar loop to 8 bars", "re-voice the chords as open voicings", "humanize the hats" or "quantize the bass to 16ths". Each change is one undo away.

How to generate MIDI in Veena

Open daw.veena.studio and sign in with Google. Set the tempo (40 to 300 BPM), the key (any of 24) and the time signature (8 to choose from), or leave them: on an empty project CoProducer sets a tempo that suits the genre.
Ask like a producer. In Veena's own data, only about 3% of typed requests name an artist. Producers describe tempo, key, bar count and instrument, and that is exactly what a MIDI part needs: "8 bars, 92 BPM, A minor, Rhodes-style chords on beats 1 and the and of 2".
Pick one of three. Every new MIDI part arrives as 3 options in one carousel. Browse with ↑ and ↓, hover to hear, press Enter to add it, or ask for More Options. Picking doesn't count against your daily allowance.
Edit in the piano roll. Draw and select tools, a velocity editor, notes from C0 to C9, 8 snap settings with triplets, and Ctrl or Cmd with ↑ or ↓ to move notes an octave. Drum clips open in the Beat Maker, a 16-step-per-bar grid.
Export. Choose Download MIDI file on a clip, or export every MIDI track as one .mid. The same Export menu gives you WAV at 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 at 320 kbps and stems.

Muse is a MIDI editor that needs another DAW. Its own FAQ calls it a multi-track MIDI editor designed to work alongside your existing DAW, so the audio, the mix and the release still happen somewhere else. Its free plan refreshes "around 5 credits a day on average", and full song arrangements, premium models and its Ableton device sit on Pro at $15 a month (Muse's pricing page, September 2026).

MIDI Agent charges before you hear a note. The plugin is $49 (list price $99) and there is "no free trial due to infrastructure and usage costs". Then you supply the AI yourself: connect a ChatGPT account, paste API keys, run local models, or add MIDI Agent Pro at $20 a month for 500 generations (MIDI Agent's site, September 2026).

Staccato's cheapest plan won't let you release what you make. The $11.99-a-month Basic plan lists "No commercial use" and "No record/upload"; Pro costs $14.99 a month after a discounted first month (Staccato's pricing page, September 2026).

Veena is the MIDI generator you can start free, hear inside a real song and finish in the same tab, and the .mid still goes wherever you want it.
