What is CoProducer?
What is CoProducer? CoProducer is the personal music producer built into Veena. You describe a song in plain words, and it plans, writes, arranges and mixes it with you as real tracks in the studio: drums, bass, chords, melody and more, each one a part you can open, change, re-record or export. It is free to use on Veena's free plan.
It is agentic in the literal sense: CoProducer does not answer with advice, it acts inside your project, using the same timeline, piano roll and mixer you use, and it reads what is already there before it touches anything.

How it works with you
You choose. Every new part arrives as 3 options, and nothing that depends on it is written until you pick one, so the melody is written over the chords you actually kept.
It says what it did. Each build ends with a "Delivered: …" line and a "Skipped/missing: …" line, both read from your timeline. If an instrument you asked for is not available, it tells you what it used instead.
Everything is reversible. Each change CoProducer applies is one Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac).
It plays well with others. In a shared project there is a private My chat and a Shared chat everyone sees. One CoProducer run happens per project at a time, and the next request waits in an "Up next" strip.
CoProducer or a song generator?
A song generator hands you one mixed audio file. To change the bassline, you generate the whole song again and hope. CoProducer works the other way round:

Is CoProducer part of Veena?
Yes. Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser. CoProducer is that producer, and it works inside the studio on every plan.
Is CoProducer free to use?
Yes. On Veena's free plan, CoProducer runs on a daily allowance of requests: each message you type is one request, while picking options, skipping and continuing a build are free, and failed runs are refunded. Veena Pro, $20 a month, removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models.
Does CoProducer make vocals?
CoProducer builds every instrumental part around your voice, and it can find vocal chops in Veena's sound search. The lead vocal is yours: record it in Veena from your microphone, with a count-in and the Auto-Tune effect if you want it. Veena does not generate sung vocals, so the voice on your song is always you.
Which AI models does CoProducer use?
As of September 2026, Veena's free plan offers 4 models, with the default labelled "Most efficient", and Veena Pro adds 3 premium models. The lineup changes as better models arrive. Pick one from the model menu in the CoProducer panel; on the free plan the premium models carry a crown.
Can CoProducer work on a song I already started?
Yes. CoProducer reads your Veena project as it works: the notes in every clip, the arrangement, the tempo, and the loudness and key of your audio. Drag a clip into the panel to point at it, or name the part ("the bass in the second chorus"), and ask for the change.
