CoProducer example prompts, by goal

These CoProducer example prompts are grouped by goal: starting a song, making a beat, writing chords, building on your own recording, finding sounds, arranging, mixing and editing. Copy one into the CoProducer panel in Veena, swap in your genre, tempo and key, and press Enter. Each one says what a producer would: genre, BPM, key, bars and instruments.

That is how Veena's users write, too. In Veena's own data, "chord progression" is the single most common phrase in first requests, and only about 3% of typed requests name an artist; the rest describe tempo, key, bars and instruments. The capitalised instrument names below are real Veena presets and kits.

Start a full song

Make a 118 BPM pop song in C major: intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, final chorus. Pop kit, a Round Bass line, Electric Piano chords, a Bright Pluck hook and a String Ensemble lift in the last chorus.

Write a 70 BPM cinematic cue in D minor, 32 bars: a Cello ostinato from bar 1, String Ensemble swells from bar 9, a Dark Pad underneath and a Pizzicato Strings motif in bars 17 to 24.

Make a 112 BPM amapiano groove in F minor, 16 bars: a laid-back Electronic kit pattern with shakers, a Log Drum Bass line, Warm Pad chords and a Bell Pluck melody that answers the pads.

Make a beat

A 92 BPM boom bap beat on the Brush kit, 8 bars: dusty kick, snare on 2 and 4, swung hats and a fill in bar 8.

124 BPM house drums on the TR909 kit, 16 bars: four-on-the-floor kick, offbeat open hats, a clap on 2 and 4 and a percussion fill every 8 bars.

A 140 BPM trap beat in C minor on the Electronic kit, half-time feel, rolling hi-hats with triplet bursts and an 808 Glide that follows the kick.

Chords and harmony

A 4-chord neo-soul progression in E flat major at 80 BPM, 8 bars, on the Electric Piano, with seventh and ninth chords.

A sad piano progression in A minor at 68 BPM, 8 bars, on the Acoustic Grand Piano, with a suspended chord before the turnaround.

Melody and bass

Write an 8-bar Supersaw Lead hook over my chords, mostly stepwise, landing on the root in the last bar.

Add a Reese Bass line under the drop that follows the chord roots.

Build on your own recording

Balance the mix: drums upfront, bass controlled, chords tucked and the hook clear.

Add a short reverb to the drums and a tempo-synced ping-pong delay on the lead.

Humanize the drums in bars 9 to 16 only.

Swap the piano for the Electric Piano and keep the notes.
