Projects, autosave and Recently Deleted
Projects and autosave in Veena work the way a cloud document does: every song is a project saved to your Veena account, autosave keeps it current while you and CoProducer, your personal music producer, work, and a deleted project waits 30 days in Recently Deleted before it is gone. Nothing lives only on one computer.
How projects and autosave work
Autosave starts once a project has at least one clip. From then on, Veena saves:

The Save button at the right of the transport bar shows "Saving…" and then "Saved". If you choose Go to projects from the account menu with changes still unsaved, Veena asks before it leaves.
Audio is safer still: files you import and stems you separate upload to your cloud storage the moment they appear, and an identical file is stored only once.
Your Projects
Choosing Go to projects from the account menu (click your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar) opens Your Projects. Each card draws the song's arrangement with chips for its key, time signature and tempo, and a project someone shared with you carries a "Shared by" chip with their name.
- Open: double-click a card, or click it once and press Open in its footer.
- Open in New Tab, Duplicate and Delete: right-click the card or use its ⋮ menu.
- New project: the New Project card, first in the grid, opens a blank project with 6 tracks. The free plan keeps up to 5 projects: with 5 in the grid, the card shows a lock and offers Veena Pro, which lifts the limit. Deleting a project frees its place.
- Rename: inside the studio, click the project name at the left end of the transport bar. A new project starts as "Untitled Project", and CoProducer may give it a name while that placeholder is still there.
Duplicate before a big change
Duplicate is the cleanest way to try a risky idea. Copy the project, then ask CoProducer for the bold version in the copy: "put the whole chorus in half-time on the Brush kit", "strip the second verse back to piano and bass". The original stays exactly as it was, and both appear side by side in Your Projects.
Inside a project, Ctrl+Z undoes each change CoProducer applies, one step at a time, so smaller experiments do not need a copy at all.
Recently Deleted
Delete does not ask first, because nothing is lost: the card moves to Recently Deleted, the section under Your Projects, and stays restorable for 30 days.
- Scroll to Recently Deleted. It only appears when something is in it, showing one row with Show all to expand.
- Check the countdown on the card. It turns amber inside the last 7 days.
- Double-click the card, or right-click it and choose Restore. It moves back into Your Projects.
Delete permanently is the one action that asks you to confirm, because it cannot be undone.
If a project looks incomplete
- A clip is dim and says "Loading audio · 42%": the audio is still downloading. Give it a moment before you play.
- A collaborator's edits: in a shared project, edits sync instantly and the project stays the owner's. See real-time collaboration in Veena.
- Keep a copy outside Veena: export the mix or every track as stems whenever you like, with no cap on any plan. See Veena export formats.

Can I open my Veena projects on another computer?
Yes. Veena saves projects to your account, not to one machine, and your imported audio and stems upload to cloud storage as soon as you add them. Sign in with the same Google account at daw.veena.studio on any laptop or desktop and Your Projects shows everything, ready to open.
How do I delete my Veena account?
Email hi@veena.studio from the address you sign in with and ask for your account to be deleted. To remove a single song instead, delete it from Your Projects: it waits in Recently Deleted for 30 days in case you change your mind, and Delete permanently removes it for good.
