Why is CoProducer not responding?

Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser. When CoProducer seems stuck, it is usually waiting for your pick, still building, queued behind a collaborator, or out of today's requests.

Do failed CoProducer requests count against my Veena allowance?

No. When a run fails on Veena's side, the chat says you haven't been charged and offers Retry, which resends the same request. A failed request on the free plan isn't counted against your daily CoProducer allowance, and on Veena Pro its credits are reversed. Picking or skipping options and continuing a run don't count either.

How do I stop CoProducer in the middle of a build?

Hover over the spinning send button in Veena's CoProducer panel and click Stop generation, or press Esc. Parts CoProducer already placed stay on the timeline, and each applied change undoes with Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac), so you can keep what works and send a clearer request for the rest.

Why is my CoProducer request waiting in a shared Veena project?

Veena runs one CoProducer request per project at a time, from either chat, so two builds never overwrite each other in a shared song. Your request joins the Up next strip with your face, in the order it was sent, and starts when it reaches the front. The undo arrow on your row cancels it, and your text stays in the box.

What happens when I reach the daily limit on Veena's free plan?

CoProducer tells you that you've used today's free requests, and your allowance comes back the next day. The rest of Veena keeps working for free in the meantime: editing, recording, mixing, stem separation from the right-click menu and export. Veena Pro, $20 a month, removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models.

CoProducer Not Responding? Limits, Stop, Retry and Queues

CoProducer not responding almost always has a reason Veena already shows on screen: your personal music producer is waiting for you to pick an option, still working through a long build, queued behind a collaborator, blocked by a plan limit, or holding a task until the song stops playing. Here is how to read each case and get the build moving again in seconds.

Is CoProducer waiting for you?

The most common "stuck" moment is CoProducer waiting on your choice. Each new part arrives as 3 options, and a sound search as 10 cards, under "Found 3 results" and "↑↓ to browse • Enter to add". Nothing that depends on that part is written until you choose.

Scroll the CoProducer panel to the newest option cards.
Hover a card to hear it, or use the arrow keys.
Press Enter or click the card to add it. More Options asks for fresh ones; Skip moves on without that part.

You can change your pick while the options are open, and picking or skipping never uses a request.

Is it still working?

A long request, such as a full song with an intro, verses, choruses and a bridge, runs for a while, and Veena shows the progress as it goes: a status line, a collapsible "Thought" banner, a to-do strip counting finished steps ("3/6"), and plain-English activity rows such as "Setting the tempo" or "Adding human feel". Clips land on the timeline as each part finishes. If those are moving, CoProducer is working.

The ring around your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar shows how much allowance or credit is left: green, then yellow, then red as it runs down.

Stop, then send again

If a build is heading the wrong way, stop it rather than waiting:

Hover over the spinning send button and click Stop generation, or press Esc.
Undo anything you don't want with Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac). Each applied CoProducer change is one undo step.
Send a sharper request with tempo, key, instruments and bar counts: "keep the drums, redo the bass as an 808 Glide line that follows the kick".

In a shared project

Veena runs one CoProducer request per project at a time, whichever chat it comes from, so a shared song never has two builds overwriting each other. While someone else's request runs:

Your message waits in the Up next strip above the box, with your face, in the order it was sent. A private request shows to others as "Private request".
Your send button shows a loader until your turn. The undo arrow on your row cancels it, and your text stays in the box.
In Shared chat, a pick someone else made reads "Selected by" with their name.

Stems, transcription and re-voicing wait for playback

Separating stems, turning audio into MIDI and re-voicing a recording as another instrument don't start while the song is playing, so the playback never glitches. Press Space to pause, then ask again.
