What is text to music doing under the hood?
Two families of models do the job:
- Audio models learn from recordings paired with descriptions and generate the sound wave directly. You get one mixed file: quick to hear, with drums, bass and vocals fused together.
- Symbolic models generate notes, as MIDI, for instruments to play. Every part stays separate and editable.
